We've collaborated with one of our favourite local potters and female entrepreneurs, Leia Sherblom behind grit ceramics to bring you this limited edition collection of tableware made from 100% reclaimed clay.

DESCRIPTION

The Breakdown

Each piece is handcrafted from reclaimed clay (discarded scraps and trimmings excess from previous commissions normally destined for the landfill). This clay is then re-worked into beautiful pieces by Leia in her studio in Pottsville, NSW.

This collection of tableware and kitchen items have been designed to encourage slowing down, nourishment through food and gathering.

These adorable additions will add a touch of uniqueness to your table setting. These Salt and Pepper pods hold approx 40g and come with a ceramic spoon for serving.

Perfect for salt, pepper, dukkah or any little garnishes for the table. A simple, classic and timeless design available in Onyx and Birch.

Due to the nature of handmade, small batch pottery, variance in size, shape and finish are to be expected and celebrated!

Unfortunately, our grit x Seed & Sprout Collaboration is not able to be shipped outside of Australia.

About the Collaboration

The pieces are made locally from what would otherwise be wasted materials, using 100% reclaimed clay. Two female-led businesses coming together with like minded goals and ideals to create special, one of a kind pieces that support people and the planet. This project was made possible (and more special) through using waste materials in the form of reclaimed clay. Discussing the options with Leia, she suggested using 100% reclaimed clay from her studio - each unique pot handcrafted from the discarded scraps, trimmings excess from previous commissions. Normally destined for the landfill, we immediately aligned with the concept of producing hand crafted items from waste materials.The grit collaboration pieces are hand wrapped by our team using shredded cardboard (formerly shipping boxes) and packed in our solar powered warehouse and shipped plastic free. Environmental considerations were at the forefront of the design process. Designing vessels that could be refilled and pieces that encourage customers to grow, wash and share their own fresh foods.
