Week 14 Report
Symposium is a totally unfamiliar word for me when I was in China. Students work as a whole team to organize everything, that’s really an experience full of challenge and memory. From passiveness to initiative, from being exhausted to getting excited, from being isolated in personal ideas to making friends with other participants, it makes me feel that I’m on the way of looking for a place where is most suitable for myself to devote into. No matter how big or small the stuff is, you will be important if somewhere needs you to assist. Try to place yourself in instead of just wandering around or acting as an audience, that’s what I felt precious to me.
Symposium is also a great chance for all of us to take collaboration into practice. We share with each other about different studying backgrounds, various courses’ syllabus, even personal interests and cultural differences in different parts of the world. That’s enjoyable and amazing, we don’t know more about with each other before, but there’s no gap existing in our communication. Sometimes meeting with divergence and multidisciplinary will make me feel how worthy of what I learnt in this semester which helps me share ideas with design students from other universities.
The platform of student network has already been set up and will be existed even though the symposium has been ended. It’s also good to know that new opportunities will be offered in the long run, that’s to say, and more useful resources will benefit more and more students. And at the same time, we have already benefited ourselves.
What did you “share with design students from other universities” about what you learned this semester?
